A seat is earned by the problem you bring.

We read every request by hand, so each table of eight is made of peers with no conflicts, working on a real decision.

One seat at a table of eight. The same seven peers and a host, every month for a year.

$4,800a year for a seat at a monthly table of eight

Who CIO Cafe is for, and who it isn’t.

For you if…

  • You are a sitting CIO, CTO, CDO or CISO, or a VP on the CIO track who owns major technology decisions.
  • You have a live decision and want peers who have already made it.
  • You can say what went wrong as easily as what went right.
  • You can give 90 minutes a month and keep what you hear in confidence.
  • Your organization’s size is not a filter. There is no revenue floor; the decision you bring and the seat you hold are what we look at.

Not for you if…

  • You sell technology, services or advisory to CIOs, even indirectly.
  • You are looking for leads, speaking slots or a stage.
  • You want recorded content to watch later. Tables are live and never recorded.
  • You can’t commit to the Chatham House Rule.

How it works

From request to your first table in four steps.

A person, not a form robot, reads every request. You’ll know where you stand within two business days.

  1. Tell us the decision you’re facing

It is the first question on the form. No résumé or deck. The decision matters more than the title.

  2. A 20-minute fit call with a host

Twenty minutes with the host of the table you would join, after you have seen the price and the terms. We check conflicts and fit, you check us. Nobody on the call sells anything.

  3. You’re matched to a table of eight

Matched by role, scale and problem, and screened so you never sit with a direct competitor unless you want to.

  4. Your first month

Week one: a welcome call, the house rules and your table’s one-page pre-read. Your first 90-minute table follows, and its Field Brief reaches you within a week. Nothing is billed until you have seen the full terms.

What it costs, before you apply.

Members pay for CIO Cafe, so nobody else has to. Most seats are paid by the member’s company.

Request a seat

Tell us what’s on your table.

Takes about two minutes. There’s no payment and no commitment at this step.

  • Reply within 2 business days
  • No sponsors to share it with
  • Price published, no sales call
One or two sentences is plenty, for example “Do we consolidate two ERPs before or after the acquisition closes?” Only your host sees this.

We use these details only to review your request and match you to a table. We never sell them or share them with any vendor. See our privacy summary.

Know a CIO who should be at the table?

Send them the invitation in your own name. We never contact anyone you haven’t introduced yourself.

Their request is read first. We do not keep their details or contact them unless they apply. If you are a member, you may want to say so in your note.
