Most seats at CIO Cafe start with a member naming someone. If you know a CIO who would change the quality of a table, tell us.

Why nomination beats application
An application tells us what someone says about themselves. A nomination tells us what a peer says about them — which is the more reliable signal, and the reason vetted communities have always worked this way.
Members may nominate two peers a year. We tell your nominee who put them forward, unless you ask us not to.
Thank you. We will read this within two business days and let you know what happens next.
What happens to a nomination
- A person reads it within two business days.
- If it fits, we contact your nominee and say who nominated them.
- They go through the same vetting as everyone else. A nomination opens the door; it does not skip the check.
- You are told either way.
What we do with their details
We contact them once. If they are not interested, their details are deleted and they are not contacted again. Nominee details are never added to a mailing list. See the trust centre.
